Custom Setup Installation

During the installation, you can install certain functions and components for SwyxIt!.

This component expands the Call Routing Manager to enable a graphical representation to be shown during the process of creating rules for call handling. For further information, please refer to the documentation "Call Routing Manager".

This component enables a video connection to another SwyxIt!. You can then talk face to face with your call partner by video (see chapter Video).

The TeamViewer plug-in offers collaboration functions via TeamViewer. This lets you show your conversation partner your screen contents during a call, and, if necessary, even give him access to your computer (see chapter Collaboration by mouse click).

Das NetViewer-Plugin bietet Collaboration-Funktionen per NetViewer. Damit können Sie Ihrem Gesprächspartner während eines Telefonates die Anzeige Ihres Bildschirminhaltes und ggf. auch den Zugriff auf Ihren Computer ermöglichen (see chapter Collaboration by mouse clicksiehe Kapitel 10.14, Collaboration per Mausklick, Seite 130).

The SwyxIt! Meeting plug-in is a further application for utilizing the Collaboration functions in SwyxIt!. This lets you show your conversation partner your screen contents during a call, and, if necessary, even give him access to your computer (see chapter Collaboration by mouse click).

This component enables the integration of Outlook as of version 2003 (see also chapter Microsoft Outlook – Telephoning with SwyxIt!).

This component enables the integration of Outlook as of version 2007 and later (see also chapter Microsoft Outlook – Telephoning with SwyxIt!).


	You can chose between installing “Outlook Add-In (2003)“ or “Outlook Add-In (2007 or higher)”. If you have selected both components, only "Outlook Add-In (2007 or higher)” will be installed.

With this component it is possible to see theSwyxIt! user status when showing the Microsoft Office contacts, and to initiate a call with SwyxIt! from a Microsoft Office contact card (see chapter SwyxIt!-Status signaling of Microsoft Office contacts).

With SwyxConnector for Skype, you are now able to use Microsoft Skype for Business features such as instant messaging, status indication and phonebook in combination with Swyx telephone functionalities.

This component enables the integration of Lotus Notes. For the complete installation of all Lotus Notes functions, a further installation step is required (see chapter Swyx Option Pack for Lotus Notes Installation).

Enhances SwyxIt! with the integration of SwyxPLUS ContactServer. SwyxPLUS ContactServer is a server application, which merges different databases to form a single consistent LDAP directory (see chapter SwyxIt! with SwyxPLUS).

This component enables the integration of DATEV pro into SwyxWare. DATEV contact data and the telephony function are thus merged with SwyxIt! (see chapter SwyxIt! with SwyxPLUS).

TAPI allows you to make phone calls from third-party applications. (see also Telephoning from Third Party Applications).

If you choose "Typical" when installing SwyxIt!, the the Graphical Script Editor will be installed. The components “Outlook 2003 Add-In”, “Outlook 2007 Add-In” or “Lotus Notes AddIn” are only being installed, if the corresponding Outlook or Lotus Notes version is installed on your computer.

A link is automatically created on the desktop during installation.

SwyxIt!is automatically added to the Startup group during installation; i.e., it is automatically started each time Windows is started.

A link to the "Quickstart" guide is created in the Start menu during installation. This document consists of a PDF file that you can print out for speedy reference.

If you choose "Typical" when installing SwyxIt!, all three functions will be installed.

You can use SwyxFax Client to send and receive documents by fax and manage them. To use SwyxFax Client, you need the option pack "SwyxFax". For further information please refer to the SwyxFax Documentation.

A link is automatically created on the desktop during installation.

SwyxFax Clientis automatically added to the Startup group during installation; i.e., it is automatically started each time Windows is started.

If you choose "Typical" when installing, the SwyxFax Client will be installed. However, no desktop link will be set up, and SwyxFax Client will not be added to the Startup group.

If you want to modify the scope of the functions later, execute the installation file again, select "Modify" and change the settings accordingly.
