13 Multitasking on the iPad with Swyx Mobile for iOS
Starting with iOS 11, you can work with two apps simultaneously on the iPad by multitasking. For example, you can answer emails or search for a location while making a call via Swyx Mobile. The Split View and Slide Over functions make this possible.
2 Move up from the bottom of the screen to open the Dock.
3 In the Dock, hold down the second app to be opened (e.g. cards) and drag it next to the one that is already open.
4 To give both apps the same amount of space on the screen, drag the dividing line between the apps to the center of the screen.
5 To end the split view, drag the separator across the app you want to close.
The Split View function is supported by iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation and newer), iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4.
To use Swyx Mobile for iOS in the Slide Over view
In Slide Over mode, you can move the view of one app over the view of another open app.
1 Open Swyx Mobile for iOS.
2 Move up from the bottom of the screen to open the Dock.
3 In the Dock, hold down the second app you want to open (e.g. Notes) and drag it next to the one you've already opened.
4 To move the app opened in the slide over, hold down the icon and drag it to the left or right side of the screen.
You can also move the app opened in the slide over outside the screen and only move it back again when you want to use it. To do this, place your finger on the icon and drag the app to the right outside the screen. If you want to use them again, swipe from the right side of the screen to the left.
The Slide Over function can be used with the following iPad models: iPad Pro, iPad (5th Generation and newer), iPad Air and newer and iPad mini 2 and newer
