5.1 SERVER
In the SERVER area you enter the server addresses and select the connection made to the SwyxRemote Connector under Advanced Settings.
*
The different server addresses depend on your settings and/or the option packs selected by your provider. Please contact your administrator for further information.
To enter the server addresses of the internal and external server
1 Select the menu item More | Settings.
2 Enter the SwyxServer address under Internal Server.
3 Enter the address of the SwyxRemoteConnector under External Server.
The SwyxRemoteConnector allows you to connect to SwyxServer when you are outside your corporate network. The encryption is carried out via TLS (Transport Layer Security). The certificates used are managed and provided by your administrator. Further information can be found in the SwyxWare documentation for administrators.
For further information about the connection mode of SwyxRemoteConnector, please see To select the connection mode to the SwyxRemoteConnector.
*
At least one server address must be entered.
To select the connection mode to the SwyxRemoteConnector
1 Select More | Settings.
2 Tap on Advanced Settings.
*Modus
To connect to SwyxServer via SwyxRemoteConnector select one of the two options:
Automatic
It automatically tries to establish a direct connection to SwyxServer. If the connection fails, e.g. because you are out of range of your company network, you are connected to SwyxServer via SwyxRemoteConnector.
Always
The connection to SwyxServer is always via SwyxRemoteConnector.
If a connection via SwyxRemoteConnector is not possible, no attempt is made to establish a connection via your company network.
*
If you receive a "404" error when connecting to the server, a valid client certificate may be missing on your terminal device. In this case, contact your administrator. He reassigns it to you or generates a new one.
