Select a ringtone
Would you like to change the ringtone for incoming calls you receive via Swyx Mobile and assign dedicated ringtones for specific contacts and groups?
The ringtone volume of Swyx Mobile for iOS differs depending on whether Swyx Mobile is used in the fore- or background or your iPhone is locked.
Swyx Mobile is used in the foreground
The ringtone volume is always low.
Swyx Mobile is used in the background
An incomming call will be signalled accoustically only for a particular time. Afterwards further signalling will be done via vibration, if configured.
Swyx Mobile is used in the background and your iPhone is locked
The configured ringtone volume will be used. In case the application is used in the foreground, you can change the ringtone volume by pressing the volume buttons at the side of your iPhone.
Your iPhone is locked
An incomming call will be signalled accoustically only for approximately 30 seconds. Afterwards further signalling will be done via vibration, if configured.
To select a global ringtone
1 Select More | Settings.
2 Tap on Ringtone.
3 Select one of several standard Swyx Mobile ringtones.
To assign your contact an individual ringtone
1 Tap within your contact list on the contact you want to assign an individual ringtone.
The profile of your contact opens.
2 Tap on Select ringtone under the option Ringtone.
Select one of several standard Swyx Mobile ringtones.
To assign your groups an individual ringtone:
1 Select More.
2 Tap on Groups.
All groups you are a member of are listed.
3 Tap on the group to which you want to assign an individual ringtone.
4 Select one of several standard Swyx Mobile ringtones.
