In a single chat, you exchange messages with one participant.
To start a Single Chat
1 Tap on Chat.
2 Tap on Single.
3 Tap on .
The list of all contacts with whom you can have a chat conversation opens.
4 Select the desired contact.
If you select more than one contact, you start a group chat. See also To start a group chat
5 Tap on Done.
6 Enter your message in the Type a message field. You can share a photo, video or a file by tapping the +. See also chapter To share photos and videos within a chat
7 Tap on .
The selected contact receives the message.
If the or the send symbol is gray, perform a refresh in the single or group chat view. To do this, swipe with your finger across the entries from top to bottom. Alternatively, close the app in the background and open it again.
To resume a single chat
1 Tap on Chat.
2 Tap on Single.
The list of contacts with whom you have already communicated via chat opens.
3 Tap on the desired contact to continue the chat conversation.
4 Enter your message in the Type a message field.
5 Tap on .
The selected contact receives the message.
To delete a single chat
1 Tap on Chat.
2 Tap on Single.
3 Swipe with your finger from right to left over the chat entry to be deleted.
4 Tap on Delete.
5 Confirm with Delete.
The single chat will be deleted.
To call a chat participant
1 Tap on Chat.
2 Tap on Single.
The list of contacts with whom you have already communicated via chat opens.
3 Tap on the desired contact to continue the chat conversation.
4 Tap on the handset symbol in the title bar.
5 Tap on the desired number.
The connection is established.
To delete a chat message
1 Tap on Chat.
2 Select a single or group chat.
3 Tap on the desired contact or group to open the chat content.
4 Tap and hold the message you want to delete.
A context menu opens.
5 Tap on Delete.
6 The message will be deleted.
Within the conversation it is indicated that you have deleted the message.
You can only delete your own messages.
To edit a chat message
1 Tap on Chat.
2 Select a single or group chat.
3 Tap on the desired contact or group to open the chat content.
4 Tap and hold the message you want to edit.
A context menu opens.
5 Tap on Edit.
6 Change the message and tap on .
The message will be changed.
You can only edit your own messages.
To share a chat message
1 Tap on the menu item Chat.
2 Select a single or group chat.
3 Tap on the desired contact or group to open the chat content.
4 Tap and hold the message you want to share.
A context menu opens.
5 Tap on Share.
6 Select the app you want to share the message with (e.g. via mail app etc.).
To copy a chat message
1 Tap on the menu item Chat.
2 Select a single or group chat.
3 Tap on the desired contact or group to open the chat content.
4 Tap and hold the message you want to copy.
A context menu opens.
5 Tap on Copy.
The message is in the clipboard.
6 Press and hold where you want to insert the message.
