In an group chat, you exchange messages with several participant.
To start a Group Chat
1 Tap on the menu item Chat.
2 Tap on “Groups”.
3 Tap on .
The list with all contacts opens.
4 Select the contacts you want to start a group chat with.
5 Tap on Done.
6 Enter your message in the Type a message field. You can share a photo or a file by tapping the +. See also chapter To share photos within a chat
7 Tap the arrow to send the message.
The participants of the group receive your message.
If the or the send symbol is gray, perform a refresh in the single or group chat view. To do this, swipe with your finger across the entries from top to bottom. Alternatively, close the app in the background and open it again.
To add another contact to a group chat
1 Tap on the menu item Chat.
2 Tap on Groups.
3 Tap on the group chat to which you want to add another contact.
4 Tap on the title bar within the group chat. All participants of the group are listed.
5 Tap on + Add Contact. The list with all contacts opens.
6 Select the desired contact to be added to the group. You can also add multiple contacts.
7 Tap on Done.
The contact will be added to group.
To change the name of a group chat
1 Tap on the menu item Chat.
2 Tap on Groups.
3 Tap on the desired group chat.
4 Tap on the title bar within the group chat. All names of the participants are listed.
5 Tap on the “Pen”.
6 Change the name of a group chat.
7 Tap on Done.
The name of the group is changed.
You can only delete a group if you are the administrator of the group.
To leave a group chat
1 Tap on the menu item Chat.
2 Tap on Groups.
3 Tap and hold on the group you want to leave.
4 Tap on Leave.
You are no longer a member of the group.
To delete a group chat
1 Tap on the menu item Chat.
2 Tap on Groups.
3 Tap and hold on your group you want to delete.
4 Tap on Delete.
The group chat will be deleted.
You can only delete a group if you are the administrator of the group.
The list with all contacts opens.
