Connection between two SwyxServers of different organizations
In this scenario, the SwyxServer of Smith Ltd is connected to the SwyxServer of Jones Ltd by a SwyxLink trunk. As different companies are involved, the configuration of the SwyxLink trunk specifies the intersite connection "Remote SwyxServer from another organization". With this connection type, the administrator of a server can specify individual groups to be visible on the other server site. This is useful, e.g. if a group of employees in one company is collaborating with a group of employees in another company as a project team. With the help of the relationships within the group properties, the administrator can then specify precisely who should be signaled with the status information for the users in the group, and which users may use the collaboration, video and/or instant messaging functions.
