Installation of the SwyxStandby option pack requires an operating system Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows Server 2016. The following databases are supported:
Master
Standby
SQL Server 2016 from Standard Edition (on Windows Server 2016)
SQL Server 2014 from Standard Edition (on Windows Server 2012 R2)
SQL Server 2016 Express incl. "Replication" feature (on Windows Server 2016).
SQL Server 2014 Express incl. "Replication" feature (on Windows Server 2012 R2).
* 
If an SQL Express database is used for the standby system, the 'Replication' function has also to be installed.
